Justin is originally from Virginia, but has been settled in Colorado since 2011. Justin earned his B.S. in Biology and M.A.Ed. in Secondary Science both from The College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, VA. Justin’s teaching philosophy encompasses the desire to teach students how to be respectful, caring, thinking, and creative individuals in their lives through a liberating and empowering education that will enable them to affect change in others and the greater society. He believes the foundation of a successful education beginnings with relationships. A study abroad program in Iceland established the value of experiential education for him, and in turn, the value for Chinook West students. While not at Chinook West, Justin enjoys making coffee, running, cycling, snowboarding, reading, writing music, and deepening his passion for the arts, neuropsychology, sustainable agriculture, and Buddhism.
