Vision: Working together to protect and strengthen our mountain community.

Mission: Unified we support each other to help strengthen our and protect our community to make safe and healthy choices through creative prevention strategies.

In 2011-2012 the Peak to Peak Prevention Coalition formed partnerships, collaborated, planned, and began to execute the initial steps of Communities That Care.  Communities that Care is a coalition-based community prevention operating system that uses a public health approach to prevent youth problem behaviors including underage drinking, tobacco use, violence, delinquency, school drop-out and substance abuse.

Current collaborators include Nederland Middle Senior High School, Nederland Parent Engagement Network, Gilpin County High School, Nederland Police Department, Nederland Elementary, Little Bear preschool, Wild Bear Mountain Ecology Center, Peak to Peak Counseling, Nederland Area Seniors, Healthy Futures Coalition, and other important concerned community stakeholders.
